This Akshaya Tritiya, all members of Saradha family have yet another cause to rejoice and revel. After successful ventures in Assam (BramphaPutra Jungle Resort) and North Bengal ( Lataguri & Matiali Resorts), Saradha Hotels & resorts is now foraying to create its mark in the abode of peace ,Santiniketan. Santinketan, for the red soil of Birbhum, the lush green forest, the fresh air, the beautiful scenario of the bank of river Kopai has a home away from home for all Bengalis since ages. To enhance this experience in the lap of nature Saradha is introducing its first ever Village Resort, the Sherwood resort, popularly known as Kopai resort this summer. On the eve of Bengali Business New Year, we shall open this project for public. The resort, already having 4 luxury cottages AC/NON-AC and 16 normal eco-friendly rooms with the experience of rural villages along with a multi-cuisine restaurant offering a delectable array of authentic Bengali, hearty North Indian, delicious Tandoori, exquisite Chinese foods is already a favourite in the locality. Lincolns High School Silguri, A proud venture of Saradha Educational Enterprises Ltd

Saradha Parivaar, with a notion to cater to various social requirements, have always realized that Education is equality key to enhance India’s competitiveness in the global economy. Therefore, to ensuring access to quality education for all, we launched Saradha Educational Enterprises Ltd. Under this company we have already introduced LINCOLNS HIGH SCHOOL in Siliguri, an international standard academic institution in the midst of a pristine atmosphere. The school is located in Karaibari & Milanpally, of Siliguri. Karaibari section has KG to XII and Milanpally Upper KG- VII affiliated to ICSE and ISC boards. The school had a humble beginning until it was taken over by Saradha Educational Enterprises in 14th Nov, 2011. Rapid development has been made in the management and services are since then. Today, the two sections of Karaibari & Milan Pally, operated from Karaibari wing, have more than 450 students in total. An army of 60 teachers and 30 non-teaching staffs comprises the management of the school headed by the Frontier soldier, the Headmistress Ms. Shampa Dutta.

Our further ventures encompass another co-ed residential school in Malda English Baazar, next in pipeline being an educational hub in Shimla. Tara became official media partner for Bangladesh Utsav

Though Teesta water-sharing continues to tauten Indo-Bangla relations, Bangladesh Utsav, organised by the Bangladesh High Commission, saw the warring parties breaking ice to strengthen the relationship between the two countries, with Saradha Group having its contributory role in mending fences as the official media partner of the event. Tara TV, the popular infotainment channel of Saradha Group, also sponsored one day of the annual pentathlon (16th-20th Dec)aiming to celebrate the victory day of Bangladesh Liberation War. Bringing in Indian artistes like Haimanti Shukla, Sraboni Sen and Lopamudra Mitra to perform in the cultural extravaganza Tara acted as catalyst in enhancing the “ moitree” (friendly) feeling between the two countries.

Paroma, the fortnightly magazine of Saradha launched by CM

Saradha Printing and Publication added a new feather to its hat by bringing into daylight the female- oriented fortnightly magazine ‘Paroma’. Born under the careful mentoring of the maverick actor director and intellectual Aparna Sen, donning the editor’s hat after a long hiatus, Paroma came out as a perfect companion for the contemporary women. The name in fact proved to be apt as it was unveiled in the hands of the “real woman of substance”, Smt. Mamata Banerjee, Chief Minister of West Bengal. Flanked by the proud editor, the CM was present along with many more celebs and dignitaries at the launch party of the magazine on 29th Nov, 2011 at Town Hall, Kolkata.

Saradha’s new feat, newspapers in 4 languages

09/11/11 Will be a proud moment for Saradha Group as we achieved yet another acme of success, this time in media sector. With the publication of newspapers like Bengal Post in English& Sakalbela in Bengali from Saradha Printing & Publications, and the take-over of Azad Hind, one of the oldest newspapers of India published in Urdu, Saradha succeeded in its objective to some extent to break the linguistic barrier and amalgamate people of all regions and religions, which reached its zenith by the publication of the daily newspaper Prabhat Barta in Hindi. The newspaper which will be available not only in West Bengal but also in Jharkhand and Bihar undoubtedly makes Saradha the singular media house venturing in 4 different languages in the whole nation.

Channel 10 becoming top of TRP

Channel 10, the 24 hours news channel under the aegis of Saradha, topped the TRP list as the highest viewed news channel for more than once, especially during the exclusive telecast of Messi Match in Kolkata. The channel, now with its chartbuster game show “1phone e 1 lakh”, anchored by Group CEO Kunal Ghosh, is again rising high in the TAM sheet.

Saradha Group of Companies observed its annual meet on December 29th and December 30th 2010 at Netaji Indoor Stadium.

Day 1(Wednesday) - The grand event opened with the blessings of Sri PS Swami, eastern region head of Swaminarayan Akshardham temple. Thereafter educationalists of renowned universities spoke on the occasion. Shri Sudipta Sen, CMD Saradha Group of Companies asked for their valuable advice in the groups venture towards selfless service of the people.

Day2. On Thursday - CMD promised a bagful of new projects in the coming year. He also confirmed that the company’s name that has already been spread to every corner of the country is now going internationally by opening Saradha’s Export division office at Madrid in Spain.
